we used this tool to interupt the downloads from PS store/Updates, and put the .pkg on our computer... anyone remember ?

just a thought pouring out of my soul ...

possibly just start to buy full games from PSN store and allow others to use them as well ? without a gameshare.... or having to put the files into a .pkg again.

No as it needs to be activated on your PS3 aswell.

When we can decrypt psn downloads though (npdrm selfs) we will be able to change one value and it will be a free game for us. That will be anything from the PSN store for free, oh and also online black ops hacks. But thats the reason why geohot will not release so we will have to wait

So lets say if you were to use this tool (assuming your region is BLUS) and get the .pkg, I wouldn't be able to install it onto my ps3?

Yes it would install but since its no activated (which all downloads have now apart from demos) it would just do nothing you can't use it

I wonder if you can get free PSN money out of this.
