(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys I was just wondering can we just download a torrent of the game and then do this new method and play with out the disk or do we need to have the disk to do it?

Thanks in advance, + rep for whoever helps Smile!

I'm no expert so i could be wrong, but you should be able to do it through a FTP Server between you PS3 and PC, The best programs to use are Black Box FTP for your PS3 which you just put on your USB and install it through the Install Package Files folder on your PS3, and Smart FTP for your computer which you just download and install the same way as any other PC program. When using the programs make sure you are signed in on the PSN or have a active internet connection. If you are unsure how to use the programs just look for a tutorial on YouTube Smile I would like to thank ItsBarryBurton for telling me about these programs which are featured in his tutorial.

i didnt quite get what that meant but i think i got it, the difference is that when you backup a game through your ps3 from a disk it backs it up straight into the directory, when you download you have to put it in manually. Smile

You put the downloaded ISO file into GAMEZ and the .pkg file will be installed into hdd0/game.

Yep you move the EBOOT file from USRDIR in the installed package file in game to the created EBOOT folder in devhdd0 then delete USRDIR Folder inside, copy the backups EBOOT folder from GAMEZ to the installed package file folder in game (the package file being the downloaded .pkg and backup being the ISO file) the EBOOT file in the ISO will be under ps3_game in GAMEZ.
