1. First off your going to need your USB stick (you obviously have one if your JB your PS3)

2. Go to your regions PS3 website e.g mine is uk so You must login or register to view this content.

3. Click on playstation 3 after that your page should kinda look like this then click on the download firmware 3.55

4. Create a file on your USB called PS3 then create a file on that called UPDATE then copy and paste the update into the UPDATE folder which is inside your PS3.

5. After that turn on your PS3 go to system update and go onto Update via Storage Media and re-install it you should get something along the lines off 'You already have this firmwire do you still want to go ahead' click yes and let it install and when it reboots the PS3 you should have back your old legitmate PS3.
