(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); *NOTICE* I'm taking AC Brotherhood as example, but you can use this way to backup any game you want.

Requirements

multiMAN 01.12.05 Backup Manager (Credits to: ps3-hacks)
You must login or register to view this content.

Comgenie's Awesome File Manager.

AC Brotherhood .pkg[UP0001-BLES00909_00-0000111122223333] (Credits to: ps3iso)
You must login or register to view this content.

Your PS3 must be on geohot's CFW.

Lets start.

  1. First you need to install the multiMAN backup manager, The AC brotherhood .pkg and the awesome file manager. Make sure your USB is on FAT32 and copy these files to your USB.

  2. Insert your USB into your PS3 (preferably the right USB port). And install the AC Brotherhood file (UP0001-BLES00909_00-0000111122223333, the multiMAN Backup Manager and the awesome file manager.

  3. After you installed these files, start multiMAN backup manager and insert your AC Brotherhood disc.

  4. After multiMAN recognized your disc, back it up to your HDD [HIT THE CIRCLE BUTTON], notice this will take around 15 minutes, it's a 7,7 GB file. Do your homework like me :P

  5. After it's finished hit the X button and leave the backup manager.

  6. Start up awesome file manager.

  7. There are a few things you have to know while you're in awesome file manager.

[SELECT] to get in modify modus
    [CIRCLE] to copy a file
[START] to confirm the copying/deleting/folder creating
    [L1] Create a new folder
    [SQUARE] Delete folder or file.

  8. Here we go, the most confusing and difficult part IMO.

    - First navigate (on the left side) to dev_hdd0 > GAMES, make sure you find there your backed up game, the directory is called: BLES00909

-Go back to the ''dev_hdd0'' directory and continue navigating to 'game' > 'BLES00909' (NOT YOUR BACKED UP GAME). You'll find there the AC Brotherhood file you installed.

-From /dev_hhd0/game/BLES00909 continue to the folder called: USRDIR.

-You'll find there only one file : EBOOT.BIN. Now you're on the left side of the file manager. Go to the right side by hitting the 'right button on your D-pad'. Navigate to: /dev_hdd0/ and create there a new folder called : EBOOT. you can do this by entering the modus [SELECT] and hitting L1 to create a folder.

-After that go back to the left side and move the EBOOT.BIN of /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909 /USRDIR. To the new folder we just created: EBOOT. You can do this by hitting the [R2] button and confirm by [START].

    - After that move up again to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909.
DELETE the USRDIR folder by hitting the SQUARE button and confirm again by [START] (make sure you're on the modus).

    -Go to the directory: /dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES00909/PS3_GAME/
From there copy the folder USRDIR to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909/
Make sure the USRDIR you want to copy is on the left side and the direction on the right side. HIT Circle and press [START] to confirm.
This will take around 15 minutes to copy..

-After you copied the USRDIR folder. We're going to copy the LICDIR folder from /dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES00909/PS3_GAME/ to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909.

-After you copied that, go back to the EBOOT folder in /dev_hdd0/.

-Copy the EBOOT.BIN to USRDIR folder from /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909/USRDIR, you'll replace the old EBOOT.BIN in that folder...

-AFTER THIS ALL END COMGENIE'S AWESOME FILE MANAGER.

-Turn your internet off, or use a proxy server to play AC Brotherhood. You'll probably ask why? BECAUSE THE UPDATE YOU'LL GET WILL BRICK YOUR GAME. DONT UPDATE AC BROTHERHOOD !!!

  9. What can I say? have fun. :carling:

Derek, Make sure you've got all files that are in the backup directory: /dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES00909/PS3_GAME/

into:
/dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909/

If you see some files are missing in:
/dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909/

Copy them from the backup directory to :
/dev_hdd0/game/BLES00909/

Hope I Helped.Cool Man (aka Tustin)
