(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Another simplified tool, has come out to decrypt, patch and package your game EBOOT.BIN's, so that they are playable from 3.55 CFW. For those of you having trouble with the other GUI/simplified tools, to patch your EBOOT's, you may have better luck with d0zs' d0zpatcher. The tool is very easy to use, but does require that you have cygwin installed.

i tried making this as simple as possible, here’s how it works:

1) Install cygwin w/ default options (if you already have it, skip this step)
2) Copy the game’s files and create a folder structure like this (Don’t copy USRDIR’s contents except EBOOT.BIN):

BLES01031 <---THE ROOT FOLDER MUST BE VALID GAMEID
-PARAM.SFO
-ICON0.PNG & any other files residing in this folder
USRDIR
--EBOOT.BIN
TROPDIR

that's just the bare minimum, include any other files you want in the pkg

3) Drag the game folder icon (BLES01031 in the example above) to d0zspatcher.exe's icon

that's it. change any settings you want in the GUI and press start.

When I run it, about half way through it says makeself or whatever the file name is has stopped running. I'm running Windows 7 64bit...know why it's doing that?

try doing this

make_self_npdrm.exe
unself.exe
psn_package_npdrm.exe
package_finalize.exe

also delete this folder c:\cygwin\bin\.ps3

when you load the program it will copy the files it came with over to the bin folder

Still not working, and there was no .ps3 folder if that makes a difference.
