Be the change you want to see in the world.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have three ps3 so i wanted to test it out in 2 of it, i have downgrade so bricks aren't important.
I wanted to do a experiment, and this is why, i have 2 FW on my iMac, and 1 is 169 MB (older) and the other is 170 MB (newer), and i thinked the md5 change and possibly that is the brick reason.

Firmware installed in:

PS3 SLIM 320 GB
Old FW: 3.55 OFW 169 MB
BRICK?: NO

PS3 SLIM 160 GB
Old FW: 3.55 OFW 170MB
BRICK?: YES, PS3 doesn't turn on. Downgraded Succesfully.

So, you will see, possibly is luck, possibly is that the reason of the brick.
