(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If you are going to install waninkoko's cfw, to minimize the chance of brickage, check your NAND size.
If your NAND is 256mb DO NOT INSTALL, IT WILL BRICK.
Before everyone starts asking where do I see my NAND, you must check a code on the ps3 itself, that starts with an #.
If your code is:
#CECHA
#CECHB
#CECHC
#CECHE
#CECHG
Do not install, I repeat, do not install, If your code isn't one of those, I guess you less prone to brick.
All codes:
FAT NAND SIZE
CECHA = 256MB
CECHB = 256MB
CECHC = 256MB
CECHE = 256MB
CECHG = 256MB
CECHH = 16MB
CECHJ = 16MB
CECHK = 16MB
CECHL = 16MB
CECHM = 16MB
CECHP = 16MB
CECHQ = 16MB
SLIM NAND SIZE
CECH-20..A = 16MB
CECH-20..B = 16MB
CECH-21..A = 16MB
CECH-21..B = 16MB
CECH-250.A = 16MB
CECH-250.B = 16MB
CECH-250.A = 16MB
CECH-250.B = 16MB
CECH-251.A = 16MB
CECH-251.B = 16MB

so does this work on all ps3 slims or what and what
is the difference from geohot and waninkokos and do you think i should switch from geohot

With the slims, its a bit of a problem, because we have no data on the slims chech brickage probablities. The difference between geohots and waninkokos is that with waninkokos you get the ablity to use a backup manager, to easily play bakcups. If you wanted to play bakcups on geohot's cfw, you had to go throught the painfull process of changing eboots with the ftp server.
My advice: Wait for a more stable version, waninkoko's cfw isn't even 24 hours old. We have come a long way this past two weeks, one more week or less isn't going to be a big deal.
