I understand exactly how to install firmware's , I am talking about putting into recovery mode or service mode to install geohotz CFW IF it is needed in order to install it. Reason I am even installing Geo's is to install the FTP and maybe one or 2 other PKG's before I jump up to Waninkoko's.

are you being serious?

wrong thread as well.

Off topic but here's a tut:

1. Download the jailbreak - DOWNLOAD to your Desktop
2. Make a folder on your flashdrive called PS3, inside that folder make one called UPDATE
3. Put the Geohot 3.55 Jailbreak CFW in UPDATE folder.
4. Navigate to the system update tab on the PS3 XMB.
5. Click on Update via Storage Media.
6. Click the 3.55 firmware
7. There should be 9 - 12 weird beeps. Your PS3 will shut off. This means it worked!

And you shouldnt need to be in service mode.
