Post: Help

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a few questions before I install geohot's firmware.
How can I be sure it wont brick my ps3?
Will I lose any of my game data?
Can I go back to the normal 3.55 patch?
When I do the patch, whats the best patch to run in MW2? (i want to be able to shoot carepackages, and have the thing where me guy looks like a green flame)
I hope someone will answer these, because I guess you can say I am a noob on these topics... I know all the patches and JB stuff just not the geohot stuff.

Thanks, Keithfin

PLEASE HELP!!!

Can you have the 3 things needed on the flash drive at once when I am doing it? (Geo, comgenie, vCool Man (aka Tustin)?
Hopefully my last question is does comgenie save the patch so I won't need the flash drive every time, or when switching patches? I want to host WaW, and mw2 zombies.

ok... i wouldnt use comgenie. i prefer blackb0x ftp. much easier to navigate around the HD. (need an FTP client such as Filezilla on your PC). and yes, when you put in a new patch, you keep it unless you delete or replace.

its just a program that works with blackb0x to get in your ps3's hard drive. all you need is a wired connection. (no need for flash drive). you just drag and drop the files from your computer into the program where you want the patch_mp.ff to go. and thats it. so you can just have all that stuff on your computer instead of using the ps3's comgenie

I dont have access to a pc very much. My parents arent home now, and I am doing the hak tmrw. I would really prefer to do it with comgenie.

ok just make a new folder at the root of the memory stick with the name of each patch>patch goes here. and yeah as long as the packages (.pkg files) do not have the same name, then you are fine. the package files go on the root by themselves. remember to rename the crazy named ones to something you can remember so you dont try to reinstall the same package over and over.

1. Use GeoHots. It doesn't brick.

2. Not if you delete it yourself :derp:

3. Yes.

4. Your choice :black:. I like Mossy v9
