ok a good way is try the 3.41 downgrade stuff if no then you have to w8 for a 3.55 downgrade were then you can force to install ofw

try changing the hdd then try going into recovery mod and install ofw

How i fixed my ylod put in a box blow dry for 20mins use fan cool down for 10mins ran to gamestop (they tested 2 games on my ps3 lucky it didnt ylod on them) sold it for 90 bucks got my self a slim 160gb with gow bundle

Thats a differnt YLOD, from the GPU/CPU heating up and detaching.

The only "possible" fix is to use the jig and put the ps3 into recovery mode then installing 3.55 OFW from there (I will confirm this tomorrow when I get the jig from my buddy)
