I lately did the same thing to do a tree patch now none of them work.
I am gonna try unjailbreaking my ps3 and start from scratch maybe that will work.

You were suposed to overwrite it!! If you were using File manager just leave that and go use Black Box (FTP server) Trust me ive had the same problem and now i can change patches wenever i want and it works!

Delete the patch again and go back to the OFW 3.55 from sony. Then download GeoHots CFW again, and install it. Put all the programs you were using and start again. But remember, OVERWRITE not COPY or DELETE the original patch from the original MW2 patch! Follow my steps and yull do fine I had the same problem and i fixed it

You need to overwrite the patch not delete or copy. And to edit a patch you need .ff viewer and you need your PS3 patch converted to Xbox360 to use it in .ff viewer. If its not in xbox format it wont load and yull get erros in ff viewer

I have the blackbox on my usb but it doesnt show up in install package file list and I dont know where to copy it in filemanager any suggestions?

/facepalm. If you deleted the patch, then you deleted the modified patch too. Just install the Original patch, and overwrite it in FTP with the modded one.

Take the back box out of your USB and put it back but remember dont put it in a folder just drag it in there! and huhh?? Explain the xbox ->ps3 thing please, maybe i can help i just dont get wat yuhh mean?? ?:O

Yah I figured the balckbox thing out But its just a black screen thats says push x to exit is it supposed to be like that??

oo ok. Yes the BlackBox is suposed to be like that. If you dont know how to use it, run that and download FileZila and run it in your PC. Now go to black box and look for your IP address. It says it somwhere in there and once you have it go to host in the filezila and put that in and press enter then a bunch of folders gun show up and you can go to hddv0 and those are all the folder in you ps3. To put the patch in go to game and look you region of mw2 and overwrite it. And the xbox to ps3 thing is a program to convert xbox patches to ps3 patches. Thats how you edit a ps3 patch lol Hope i helped!
