But on topic, make sure you don't have just the Firmware on the root of your USB. There needs to be a folder called PS3, and inside that a folder called UPDATE, and inside of that put your PS3UPDAT.PUP.

Yeah thats what i did every other PS3UPDAT.PUP Was fine exept this one

yo restart your ps3 then u should get it if not try my premde one

In the video i think the file is called PS3UPDATE.PUP im not sure its hard to see but its ment to be called UPDAT.PUP ( On your USB make a floder called PS3 inside that make another folder called UPDATE inside that put the update file in there

Try putting original firmware on because geohots one might be the problem

turn ur ps3 off. then hold the on button so u cycle from off-on-off. then hold the on button again till u hear 2 beeps in a row and then let go and u shud be in recovery mode, then update from recovery mode.
