(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well last night I tried installing Geohot's CFW on my fat PS3. I put the CFW, File Manager, and Test.pkg on my USB. Then on my PS3 I went to system update, storage device, and installed the update. After it beeped 3 times and turned off, but when I turned it back on "Install Package Files" wasn't there.

Anyway then this morning I decided to Completely Restore my PS3. So now when I try to play MW2 the black update message came up saying I needed to update to MW2 Patch 1.11, so I click install. But then it goes to a black screen and the spinning disk in the top right corner freezes. This happens with other games as well.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanks!

I know I probably did something retarded and seriously f***ed up, but I am offering a $ Reward for whoever helps me fix it!

Let me know if you need more information and I will do my best to tell you.

PLEASE ONLY POST IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!

Try rebuilding the PS3 database then restore. Once all of that is done Try installing the CFW.

I tried all 4 of the options on the Safe Menu one at a time to see if any would work. Still freezes when trying to install MW2 Patch 1.11

Geohot's CFW

Download the official update to 3.55, restore to default settings and stuff.

So when I download to Official 3.55, should I do it in the Safe Mode Menu?

After/If I can get that to work, then which should I do?
Restore Default Settings
Restore File System
Rebuild Database
Restore PS3 System

Or All of Them?

No. Just use the update under the settings tab. Then do the reset default options.

Hmm it wouldn't work for me under the Settings tab. It said something to the effect of "No applicable update found".

Tomorrow I'll try updating in Safe Mode to see if it works then.

So IDK if I am on Official 3.55 or CFW but "Install Package Files" isn't there...
