The Waninkoko CFW that was released works quite well, even though it bricks PS3's and freezes them. Here's some reasons why you shouldn't go to this cfw.

1. Your model number isn't the best justification on whether or not it will brick. It's very possible that you could have a working model number and have it brick on you.
2. It can cause random freezes. Even if it works, it can cause random freezes and can freeze your ps3 on online transactions (chat rooms)
3. It's new. I wouldn't hop on the Waninkoko bandwagon just yet, because it might come back to bite you.
4. Geohotz cfw works fine. For now, and for the most part.

On topic: Most people would just check their model #, and if it works they would upgrade. Just because you're model number might be compatible, doesn't mean it won't get bricked. Some people don't know this, and they should before they brick their ps3's.

It does freeze a lot, usually after you exit a game among other things. Other then that, it works decent for me.

Personally dude, I really don't recommend it for right now. It's not really worth the hassle of the freezing, I just went back to the OFW.
