Well every PS3 game has the PS3_Game folder so i am guessing that Shift was used as an example. I am copying my backup of Resident Evil 5 - Gold Edition to a new folder in HDD0 (you have the Game folder, i've created the GAMES folder) and I am wacking the BLES 00816 to that folder, I will then test by opening the PS3_Game folder of RE5 GE using MultiMan.
EDIT::::::
Update - I copied that BLES 00816 into the GAMES folder... and it appeared on the front page of Multiman alongside the game disc of GT5 woohoo! Will test it now.
EDIT 2::::
Game doesnt load from the front menu using the two options regarding the XMB menu. Gonna try the R3 PS3_Game tip
EDIT 3::::
The shadow copy works, its created the two new folders... however i cannot find the generated .PKG files... goes on a hunt..
EDIT 4::::
On the PC i used multiMAN_eboot_pkg which came with the MultiMan file from the download.
I dragged the folder BLES 00816 onto ebootFIX.exe and it created a .PKG file for me.
I installed the .PKG on the PS3 then run the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition package and it pops up with
"In order to play RESIDENT EVIL 5 GOLD EDITION, game data must be installed to your PlayStation 3 system's hard disk drive.
Start Installation Now?"
And no matter if i click Yes or No it goes back to that same screen "In order to play blah blah blah..."
I was watching the CMD window when it created the package using ebootFIX and it edited the PARAM.sfo to point the game installed path to "/dev_hdd0/G/E00682"
So i cant understand why its not working
EDIT 5::::
I've tried Red Dead Redemption with the same method as above... it does not work too.
i get this when accessing the game from the XMB menu---
"There is not enough free space on the hard disk. The game was forced to quit. At least 516 MB more free space is needed"
Well i've got over 150gb free space....
HELLLPPP i think im doing this all wrong
