    Seems like nothing will stop deank from giving his fans what they want, he managed to figure out a way to load backups from multiman. Rather brilliantly as well, altho this really does nothing more then simplify the xmb method its nice to see support being shown.

    So this will work with Wutangrza CFW?

    I am highly unsure I should be using Waninkoko's CFW as I bought my PS3 Slim 2 Months ago. (The GT5 and FiFA 11 Package UK).

    I hear that Wutangrza CFW is safe, although i am still not sure if I should update to his CFW.

    Can someone confirm that this version of MultiMan works on Wutangrza's CFW?

    edit::::::
    Nevermind, I actually caught that little sentence at the bottom of the first post. This is great news Happy

    Now to do some research for whether Wutangrza's CFW is the safest option of them all.

    Honestly, you shouldn't be. It's crap.

    Since this works go back to OFW then to >Wutangrza's > Then to Geos and you'll be good to go. Happy

    All good, installed absolutely fine. OFW - Wutang - Geo

    Now to work out how to get the games to run. It says press R3 when highlight PS3_Game

    So i am assuming that you copy the WHOLE game folder to anywhere on the HDD.

    However on the main MultiMan screen R3 = Update.

    A few tips would be great Happy

    I am currently in the process of removing all the games (from XMB menu) then i'll place the WHOLE folder in a folder for all the games.

    Correct me if im doing something wrong plzzzz cheers ppl Smile

    Well every PS3 game has the PS3_Game folder so i am guessing that Shift was used as an example. I am copying my backup of Resident Evil 5 - Gold Edition to a new folder in HDD0 (you have the Game folder, i've created the GAMES folder) and I am wacking the BLES 00816 to that folder, I will then test by opening the PS3_Game folder of RE5 GE using MultiMan.

    EDIT::::::

    Update - I copied that BLES 00816 into the GAMES folder... and it appeared on the front page of Multiman alongside the game disc of GT5 woohoo! Will test it now.

    EDIT 2::::

    Game doesnt load from the front menu using the two options regarding the XMB menu. Gonna try the R3 PS3_Game tip

    EDIT 3::::

    The shadow copy works, its created the two new folders... however i cannot find the generated .PKG files... goes on a hunt..

    EDIT 4::::

    On the PC i used multiMAN_eboot_pkg which came with the MultiMan file from the download.

    I dragged the folder BLES 00816 onto ebootFIX.exe and it created a .PKG file for me.

    I installed the .PKG on the PS3 then run the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition package and it pops up with

    "In order to play RESIDENT EVIL 5 GOLD EDITION, game data must be installed to your PlayStation 3 system's hard disk drive.
    Start Installation Now?"

    And no matter if i click Yes or No it goes back to that same screen "In order to play blah blah blah..."

    I was watching the CMD window when it created the package using ebootFIX and it edited the PARAM.sfo to point the game installed path to "/dev_hdd0/G/E00682"

    So i cant understand why its not working :(

    EDIT 5::::

    I've tried Red Dead Redemption with the same method as above... it does not work too.

    i get this when accessing the game from the XMB menu---

    "There is not enough free space on the hard disk. The game was forced to quit. At least 516 MB more free space is needed"

    Well i've got over 150gb free space....

    HELLLPPP i think im doing this all wrong :(
    01-18-2011, 06:24 PM #8
    EDIT 6::::

    Just gonna try it with the Sims 3

    oops can someone merge this post with the one above, sorry for double posting

    EDIT 7::::

    Sims 3 dont work. It comes up with this error

    "The game data is corrupted. The game will close. You must delete the game data to play this game"

    So it seems that the tutorial to get the backups working is false, the CFW is a false for backups, or I am doing something wrong.

    When you download the latest MultiMan file inside the .rar is a folder called multiMAN_eboot_pkg.

    Extract that to a folder anywhere on ur computer. I put it on a new folder on my desktop.

    You drag your game folder (the folder with the ID on it) onto the ebootFIX.exe file inside that folder.

    Wait for the cmd to finish, and you PKG will be inside the same folder as ebootFIX.exe.

    You will have 3.41 version and a 3.50 version of the package, oh and an gameid-instructions.txt file.
