Slim 120gig
CECH-2003A

Im bricking it more then the ps3's that have!
just looking looking for anyhelp from start to finish.

ive searched the forums here and a found every tut is different i currently have:
Geohotz CFW
Awesome file manager
Blackbox ftp
Snes9x

Will i need to delete any of these and what files will i need??

Get your ps3 in the Restore mode. Then do the System update. And update!

be sure that your Ps3 wont Brick!

thanks for that useful info but my son could have suggested that to me.
If you actually read what i wrote im asking for a step by step.
Saying "get cfw and install it" isnt really the answer im looking for,

you would make a great driving instructor

I need to know if i have to delete the already installed .pkg files i installed.
Anyway that will help prevent a bricked PS3 is the route i want to take.

I had GEHOT CFW with a couple of .pkg's (FTP, Games,..)

Then, I pressed the ON-button and hold it until the ps3 go back out again. Then when he is out, i press again the ON-button until the Ps3 Beebs twice.

When your in the recovery menu, go to system update. Then just follow the on screen things. Before you do this all, be sure that you maked a map in your USB called : PS3. In the map PS3 you make a MAP called UPDATE. In the map update you put your CFW in.

And with a little luck you have the CFW installed on your ps3.
