Worked it out. Turns out the new PS3FTP v1.2 doesn't like to create the directories. So for you that cant get it to work just create the folders yourself then transfer the files WITHIN those folders to their respective folders. I just answered my own question

ive been just using black box. i installed it on geos then switched to waninkoks and transferd them that way.
