Post: Isn't patching lv2 not recommended?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); according to many guys in the scene, isn't patching lv2 dangerous for the ps3, because it overwrites certain code? i'm asking because you need to do it for some cfws to play backups.

there a lv2 patch thats out now that will only stay intill you turn your system off so id think that way is a hell of a lot safer

i think it's quite the opposite. patching it all the time will damage the system.

I dunno why people rushing things I mean just stick with the eboot.pkg to boot backup games instead patching everything then end up bricking

yea aint there some anti lv2 patching thingy midgingy in the 3.55 update that changing could ruin your system? aw well risk it to get the biscuit

I don't think it actually patches the lv2 as that would be dangerous. I think it just patches the correct syscall to memory for backing up and running games on Wutangrza's CFW.
