Haxor!
I personally just bridged a cable between my computer and PS3 with a CAT6 cable so I could use 1gbit connection to transfer using Multiman and Filezilla.

But for some reason the max speed I can get is only around 22MB/s which is still fast enough seens it takes like 10min to transfer a 14GB game :P

This might not work for you, but have worked for me.

when i do that it just doesnt connect in general

Which means you got 1024Mbps internet? Stop lying... In network you get max speed so this means you got 1GB a sec, which means you would pay 400 dollars for only your internet speed? Right...

Max connection depends on your local network speed. If you want max speed, use external HD as this will use write&read speed of the drive and not the network. I prefer FTP cause transfering 6GB game takes around 10 minutes and no problems with 4gb+ file bullshit fat32 blablabla. If you want max speed, use a decent external harddrive/usb pendrive.

Smoke weed.
If you're too poor to afford a 8gig+ flash drive, throw away your ps3..

This is EXACTLY what geo tried to avoid...
