Router/modem--LS=20ft--splitter--reg ethernet--ps3

It won't work it says Ethernet not connected ive tried half and full base with mtu at 1500 at half base it won't do anything but full base it says no Ethernet connected. Any help would be great I've been trying to figure it out for a week or so and can't do it.
BTW it's for socom confrontation so I'm not trying to figure out how to be host on COD or any game that requires u to be host to use it
