First of all: Rip a game on hdd using a backup manager OR put one on your hdd with ftp. MAKE SURE IT IS IN hdd0/GAMES

Black screens means there's a permission error, there's something wrong in the EBOOT.BIN.

First try to install this package:You must login or register to view this content.
It will try to fix your permissions.
NOTE: Run lv2.pkg before you run this pkg!


If that doesn't work for you try Rogero Manager

Rogero Manager can also fix permission errors

Put the rogero pkg on the root of you usb-stick and install the package.

Now start Rogero and load a game. If it asks to launch game without going to XBM press NO

When there's an error in your game, Rogero will ask to fix it. Press yes. Now Rogero is fixing you eboot. Once this is done, the game will work.
YES, EVERY GAME WILL WORK WITH THIS, EVEN BLACK OPS!
I got all my broken games to work with Rogero.

After Rogero Fixed your permissions, the game will show up in your XMB. Make sure there's a game in your ps3.

Use Rogero and not MultiMAN! MultiMAN cannot fix errors. When u really want to use MultiMAN, let rogero fix your eboots first.

When it's in GAMEZ, it should be in hdd0/GAMEZ/BLXXXXXXX
Most Backup Managers also look in GAMEZ, so it should be no problem.

do you have to have it in the GAMES folder cause mine is in the BDS folder and i ran COD 5 fine but COD 4 didn't work and i used the fix permission pkg and i am using Kmeaw CFW + Gaia Backup Manager and COD 4 still doesnt work and i tried it on Multiman backup manger

I have a full copy of RDR and i transferred it to my computer before this was out and erased it from my PS3. Then I installed it on HDD0:GAMES (not game where the disc memory goes). This was where the backup of my other game was. I try to run it and it says "fix permission errors". I choose that and then try to play it but it will not work. I am using Gaia manager as of now. Any suggestions?

How do you run lvl2?
