you will need to have a ftp server (black box) on your ps3
right ok these are the steps tp do it
1) connect your ps3 to your computor via ftp (black box)
2) click on dev_hdd0
3) then click on the folder "home"
it should come up with a load of numbers you will have to find out which of these numbers Correspond to your account that you are trying to change the avatar on you will know when it is the right one when it has the folders friendim and inside that a document called mecomment.dat
4) open the file that is linked to your account
5) then open the file named friendim
6) inside that there should be another folder called avatar open that
6) find and save the image that you whant to make you avatar but save it as me.png
7) once saved drag and drop your image into the avatar section and there you have it
thats all you have to do it may sound quite complicated so what ill do is ill make a tutorail on my youtube channel showing you in more detail
