. I have the old 80 GB PS3 and I plugged in the Drive with nothing else conected to the USB ports. The I went to update via storage device. It found version 3.55jb and I installed it. After installing it, my PS3 did three beeps then shut off. I turned it back on and noticed that the filemanager wasn't there. Nor was the option install package files. So then I tried it all again but to no cigar. Then I went to download some demos and my PS3 froze as soon as I hit download. I restarted it and the same thing happened to a different add-on, My PS3 has also recently been doing this to even game updates. Making my ability to play those games online obselete. It is not my internet connection as it runs a 20MB/s download and my average ping is 80. Is there another file manager and/or jailbreak for the old PS3's (the fat ones) or is my PS3 broken forever. Or do you think that when Sony has a new update, it may reverse the effects? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Finally, another user sugest I try geo's jb, could I have a link to download that?
