(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i was jailbraking my ps3 for first time and i was updating my system with the custom firmware and when the ps3 was turning off and doing that beeping i turned my ps3 off myself by holding the power button..and sum1 told me you should not have turned it off...when i turn it bak on its still on the 3.55 sony firmware..so i want to know if i can ever jailbreak my ps3 again?

when the 9 beeps are done it should shut down automatically; and when you turn it back on it should b installed.

^ Is correct, the beeps are intentional. Just re-install and you should be good to go.

Why wouldnt you be able to jailbreak? When you turn it off it just cancels everything. Just reinstall and it should be jailbroken.

ive tryed alot of times and it is only 3 beeps
and it just stays on the official 3.55 sony firmware

I kinda had the same problem apart from i didn't turn mine off, it gave me 3 bleeps and then turned back on, so i just re-tried the hole process and worked

it wont display wot cfw your on so wen u go to system update it will still say your on 3.55 i think its jus a measure to stop sony actually seeing your on cfw jus go to game on xmb and if u see either/both (install package files and app/ps3_game) then ur jailbroken

just to be on the safe side, try installing the ofw first than the cfw, so that you wont brick your system. theres a tutorial on here just look for it. it will gives you step by step details on how to do it.

Huh?? Try to install the original firmware again. It probably stopped in the middle of the progress? I mean, part of your PS3 is in the Official Firmware and part of it is in the Custom firmware? I've never heard of this before.
