Tell me if you want anything else adding to the guide.

Decrypting/Decompress a PKG

(1) Decrypting a signed PKG
(2) Decrypting a unsigned PKG

(1)
Go to Tools/Decrypter/PSP PS3 PKG Decrypter_Extractor/obj/Release/ and run PS3 PSP PKG Decrypter & Extractor.exe. I recommend you make a shortcut of this. Drag or find your PKG in the program and press extract.

(2)
Run ps3gtb.exe drag and drop your PKG onto the PKG UNPACK box.

Editing a Decrypted PKG
(1) Changing the icon and background
(2) Adding sound
(3) Adding additional files
(4) Signing EBOOT.BIN

(1)
Locate the decompressed PKG folder. Change the ICON0.PNG and/or PIC1.PNG. Keep the orginal size and format.

(2)
This needs special encoding to run a sound file. DEREKTROTTER made a tutorial how to do this here:
    https://www.nextgenupdate.com/forums/playstation-3-exploits-hacks/290776-customizing-homebrew-icon-background-sound.html
(3)
Make a folder in (Decompressed PKG)/USRDIR/(Your folder name). Having the folder and your files in here prevents any errors when recompressing. An example of what could be added is roms for emulators.

(4)
Run ps3gtb.exe drag and drop your EBOOT.BIN onto the EBOOT DECRYPT box. This will create a EBOOT.ELF. Run PKG Toolkit GUI select your EBOOT.ELF and Output File name. For Content ID open up the EBOOT and at the top copy and paste it in the box.

Signing/Recompressing a PKG
(1) Editing a package.conf file for signing
(2) Recompressing back into a signed PKG

(1)
Open the package.conf if in your decompressed PKG folder. If there is not one open up the included one. Go to your EBOOT.DAT and copy the Content ID from there. Create a random conbination of 32 numbers and letters after the 0x. Change Content Type to your PKG. Finally make APP_VER and PackageVersion the same as in the SFO. Save the file.

(2)
Run PKG Toolkit GUI select your Input Folder and Config File from before. For Content ID open up the EBOOT and at the top copy and paste it in the box. Copy the Content ID from the EBOOT.

What do you mean?
At this point of the tutorial there are two EBOOT's and they're both compiled. Where am I supposed to get the id?
