I was being sarcastic.. A jailbreak is what kmeaw is smart one... Its a custom firmware with a jailbreak.

What your playstation did was BRICK. Not jailbreak, your playstation was jailbroken the second you installed Kmeaw 3.55. Dancing

Yellow light of death is a hardware malfunction, and it has nothing to do with anything related to software.

So, by you saying that you 'cannot afford' this, I assume your warranty has expired already? There is no solution, unless you are willing to open up your PS3 (which I have no experience with).

So assuming your warranty has expired, and you do not want to tamper with the insides of your PlayStation, then the worst case scenario is that you will have to buy a PS3.

yep 60gb ps3s are very high risk of ylod so no surprise there, you are lucky you got 3 years out of the machine, my old 60gb died just under 2 years, the only thing you can do to bring it back to life is to reflow the thermal paste or use the hairdryer trick! and then backup your data while it is on and buy a new one. welcome to the world of sony Winky Winky

waste of time getting it fixed, i did that it lasted 2 weeks and died again, i payed a lot of money to get it fixed too, just backup what you can after temp fixing it and buy a new one to save yourself hassle.
