Post: GAME UPDATE (PATCH) .PKG's [HELP]
01-23-2011, 01:52 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does anyone know how to create a UPDATE (PATCH) .PKG for a game backup.

E.g. I have Sonic Sega All Stars Racing backup and i currently have v1.00 .pkg and need v1.01 .pkg, because every time i play the game it asks if i want to update (i press O cancel and the game works fine, but would like to update)

I know that other games like Black Ops and NFS HP have working update patches (.Pkg's), But DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CREATE THEM? Or where i could find them?

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the exact same problem with Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma. I'm on Kmeaw 3.55 and the game after the update, I think, starts showing up as game data on xmb (the folder where the game usually installs during the first boot up). I downloaded the update PKG online. no matter what order I do it in I can't install the game pkg after I install the update one. Perhaps you guys can help me? multiMan doesn't see the games in the "game" folder and if I try to boot them using EBOOT it just throws me back to xmb.

Ive finally got my games to work on Kmeaw 3.55 with MultiMAN v1.14.01, works like a beauty. No need to create or install .PKG's just put the Game backups in the following directory:

dev_hdd0/Games/(Your Game backup e.g. BLES01031)

and then open MultiMAN press R1 to run patch mode, after it has set the access permissions press X to launch the backup and you will get kicked into the XMB, navigate up to where the disc icon is and the name of the game in the PS3 will change to the name of the back you launched now just Press X to play the game and ENJOY!
