(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm currently on 3.55 on Geohot's firmware and i have a question about FTP (Blackb0x). when ever I'm transferring large files (Ps3 Games) over from my ps3 to my computer it keeps disconnecting in filezilla. than after a while my ps3 says it has disconnected from the server and signs me out. I tried doing this offline too but still no solution.
Can Someone Help

Have you ever successfully transferred ANY[/I][/U] file using Filezilla? If you haven't, maybe reinstall it. Also another program (which is used for bigger files, or so I heard) is WINSCP. ive gotten MW2 modded patches and stuff but im trying to get some game back ups on media fire or something for others. ill try your advice

use filemanger and transfer the whole folder to the usb that way instead of going over the ftp which i think has a limit of how much can be transfered at once

a Usb stick doesnt have enough memory to transfer files like that. its a whole game which is about 8gb and the only way im gonna be able to that is if i get a 16gb one

how do you login with winscp. ive used this program before with my ipodtouch but what is the username and password for the ps3

I had the same exact problem while using blackbox, but if you just open multiman or rogero, they have ftp in them and it should say the ip at the bottom and just enter that into filezilla. It stopped freezing after i did that.

Also i kept trying on different firmwares because kmeaw and wutangrza kept freezing on me. Im using wainkoko and its working perfectly, but before you install that make sure yours wont brick

hmm try reinstalling ftp on ur ps3. reinstall filezilla. never had this problem.. is it ur connection?

Host - IP found on FTP (on your PS3)
Port - 21
User - FTP12345
Pass - nothing (leave it blank)


This should work, if it doesn't, try looking for the username in threads on NGU, I think that's it, but I am not sure...

Just Went To A Store and bought a 16gb sandisk flashdrive. all my backups are uploading pretty quick. thanks for the FTP server help though. now i can put my mw2 patches on alot easier +rep
