(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Yesterday I went to put CoD in my PS3 and it wouldn't go into my Blu-RaY Drive(unless forced). I looked at the Blu-RaY Drive's ribbon cable and some of the little tiny metal/foil things on the tips(on the motherboard end) were or had chipped off. Is that why I can't insert games? And does anyone know if I can fix it? Thanks in advance.

And when I force it in, it glides right in but PS3 won't read it.

If you don't have CFW installed, or any hacks etc, send it in to sony, I think they can fix it if you didn't screw your warranty! There is no trick to fix this, your PS3 is, well, f*cked

DONT send it to SONY. They will charge you an assload for repairing it. instead, go onto ebay, and buy a Blu-Ray drive. They are easy to install, and cost about 60 bux. its A LOT cheaper than sending it to sony. If you need more help, please contact me. I've built 6 playstation 3's, including my own custom machine.

BTW, if you broke the warranty seal, they wont do anything for you.

Heres a link for a blu-ray drive I'd suggest. You must login or register to view this content.
