Just go to the sony website and go to the support section and look for the new update, a Yellow light of death isnt from the CFW its just a bad CPU that overheats and brakes, thats why you can fix it, as of now no one has been banned for using CFW because of the lawsuit that is happing as we speak. Sony wont make a move untill after the lawsuit and if they lose, they cant tuch you.

BUT anyways

Go to your usb drive, make a folder called PS3 then inside that UPDATE then put the new OFW inside there, make sure its named PS3UPDAT.pup

Turn your ps3 off. Hold down the power button untill it shuts itself back off, then hold it down again untill it beeps twice quickly in a row. Plug in your usb drive and controler, pick option 6 in the menue

just go to the sony site and download it then update ur ps3 the same way u did the jailbreak

on second thought erm EEEEEK i copy this file from the tutorial link to /F:/<PS3<UPDATE< file: PS3UPDAT.PUP and it says "no applicable data found"

PS3- UPDATE- PS3UPDAT, dont add .pup to the name, also turn your ps3 off and put it into safe mode or try it right from the XMB

Safe mode--

Turn ps3 off

Hold down the power button until it shuts back off.

Hold the power button again and it beeps twice quickly

Plug in the Usb and your controler, go to option 6.

uhm what is option 6?

should be system update
