(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok, i jailbroked my ps3 on 3.55 firmware last night. But after reading about how sony can ban you from the psn or brick your ps3 if they decide to, i searched up on how to unjailbreak it.

1. Download the officail 3.55 firmware from the ps3 website
2. Put it in ps3/update
3. Go to the ps3 and select update

I got a message saying that i already have tht firmware installed and that it will copy files from the update data and blah blah and that t will restart after its done.

Then when i logged back on, im suprised to see the jailbreak app that i got(in my case only the ftp server) is still there and working.

The only difference is that i cant install new things cause the install pakage thing on my game section isnt there no more.

So is my ps3 unjailbroken??? Cause i really dont wanna get banned from the psn

You won't get banned anyway bro if sony banned the around 400,000 using CFW they would lose A LOT of profit installed PKGs are just left over till you delete them

Yes your ps3 is 'unjailbroken' now but if you do not want to get banned then you should delete the ftp server off your ps3 and then you will be fine
