I backup the game on the HD and multiman say it's a split game
I navigate to the game folder and delete the _ to make the game recognizable

load the game and got stuck on the spining golden knife thing
is not frozen because i can go back to the XMB but when I do
my PS3 turns off

the game won't load

any help??

What I think is happening is it is unable to read the file properly.

The Split files feature of a BM splits 4gig+ file into multiple parts so it is not its original name.

Say the file is name john, when split it is now called:

john 60001
jonn 60002
john 60003

So, when the game gets to the "john" file that is normally over 4gig (but has been split) it cannot read it because it does not exist.

BM's would not split files to an external if they could play them properly.

Thats my theory anyway.

Solution is to just copy it to the internal HDD and it will run from my experience (the BM will unsplit the files for you).
