(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Due to excessive amount of posts pertaining to the same topic of whether you will be banned for having cfw from psn (online access), I've decided to add another annoying topic of similar kind.

The objective of this thread to post the reply what you got from sony when you emailed or called them about this and to prevent future threads of same kind.I know a lot of threads been created which pro-claim the end of these annoying threads but yet I decided to add one more.

I sent an email to sony and Im going to post a screen shot of my question and the reply I got from them.

So pretty much they re uncertain and are also trying to say that they can ban you if they want to.

Here's what it found some related conditions on their TOS:
You may not use, make, or distribute unauthorized software or hardware, including Non-Licensed Peripherals, in conjunction with Sony Online Services, or take or use any data from Sony Online Services to design, develop or update unauthorized software or hardware, including cheat code software or devices that circumvent any security features or limitations included on any software or devices.
You may not modify or attempt to modify the online client, disc, save file, server, client-server communication, or other parts of any game title, or content.
You may not cause disruption to any account, system, hardware, software, or network connected to Sony Online Services for any reason, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in a game.
You may not attempt to hack or reverse engineer any code or equipment in connection with Sony Online Services.

I wasn't saying people don't care about there consoles or accounts being banned.
However I am of the opinion as are most others that if being banned is that much of a worry to you then don't risk hacking, actions sometimes have consequences and if you are not prepared to take those consequences, don't take the action in the first place.
What I was saying (although apparently not eloquently enough for the OP) was that most people don't care about the letters and phonecalls people have made to Sony whilst wetting their pants, about getting banned. As all they do is add to the hysteria, and don't actually tell anyone anything as they are contradictory at best, and rumour at worst!!

Hope this clears things up.
Just like to add that by the number of people posting transcripts of their calls and emails to this thread ie ONE, it appears that perhaps I am right :p
