7.9c CHANGELOG

* Fixed the integrated Lv2_Patcher compatibility to be exactly the same as the standalone "lv2_v5.pkg".
* Optimized the memory management at startup to the maximum for best results with the Lv2_Patcher.
* Removed Lv2_Patcher startup notification screen for added compatibility when loading payload.
* Start the Manager without any USB devices plugged-in & without Game Disc to avoid startup problems.

I'm using Rogero Manager v7.8 on Waninkoko 3.55 and it works awesomely and plays 99% of my backups. Theres a new version of Rogero Manager out v7.9c that does stuff with the Lv2_Patcher or something like that and I was wondering if I should update my Rogero Manager or just use the version I have since it's working fine for me?

What is the Lv2_Patcher?

this DOES NOT work with geohots 3.55, as soon as you start it up it quits to xmb

Yupp Same Exact Problem For Me As Well. Take off Compatability with Geohot CFW 3.55 this is bs...i got all excited, tried it out and fail...I dont want to install other firmwares, dont have the patience to dl a new FW. Plus geo is a reknown hacker and i trust him just with my ipod jb

If it takes you back to the xmb its probably cause you dont have the option to run the game without a disc turned on, it can be found on the right hand side of rogero manager. Or the other option is to have a game in the PS3 and when rogero manager takes you back to the xmb go to the Blue Disc icon where the game usually is and you will see that the name of the original disc has changed to the name of the backup you want to play.

Doesnt matter which one you choose to install, but i recommend the stealth .PKG as it makes the rogero manager undetectable by sony, plus your friends cant see you using it either.

Yes the new updated rogero manager v7.9c is advisable as you dont hav to manually run the Lv2 Patcher .pkg as it is already intergrated into the manager itself. it has been confirmed as working, but its personal preference whether you want to use v7.8 and manually patch the Lv2.

Btw, im not quite sure what the Lv2 Patcher does but i thinks its along the lines, that it allows you to run backups (both with and without a game in the ps3).

Sorry will edit the post and remove 3.55GH, i recommend updating to Kmeaw (research it) has working backup managers including rogero.

I've never manually patched anything, I just start up rogero manager put in a BR Disc and plug in my external hard drive, click the game I want to play, its goes back to the xmb then I click the game icon and play the game.

Gaia manager is still the best in my opinion :y:.

Its not old as you can see my original post was posted on the release date of the manager, if it was old it would have been closed by a moderator. The older versions of the manager were v7.9a and v7.9b as you can see this is v7.9c.

Well if yours is working fine then i suggest you dont update incase it causes problems, but just advisable as some improvements have been made and mentioned in the changelog.
