I had the same problem. I think that all these CFW and updates and patches that people are trying to test and arent fully working yet get to F**kn wit the ps3 so in return some ps3s dont work right. Wut I did is updated my ps3 to OFW, restored my Ps3 (full restore), then I installed Kmeaws cfw and multiMAN v1.14 and every game ive tried has worked since with absolutley no freezing. The best tut on here for installing kmeaws the right way is juddy loves pizzas. Also ive heard some of the older ps3s just dont work right with kmeaws and freeze alot. So if youve got a old school one you might wanna wait for CFW untill they come out with a new one. Or just use geohots and do backups using packages. Hope i helped.

Which BM are you using?

I would suggest updating to the official 3.55 then going back to the same CFW you're on now, I use kmeaw and have no problems whatsoever it runs just fine, I also use lv2patcher v6.

I also recommend using Rogero Manager over anything else, as thats also what I use and its definitely the best Backup Manager available.
