I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR CONSOLE, AND I DON'T RECOMMEND USING WANINKOKO'S CFW UNLESS YOU KNOW IT WORKS ON YOUR CONSOLE

The Kmeaw CFW is my personal reccomendations, as there if been few, to even no bricking issues. It doesn't have the Syscalls for backup managers originally, but if you use MultiMAN 1.14.0 it will add the syscalls automatically so it will work

To install CFW make sure you are on ORIGINAL 3.55, once you're on original 3.55 turn off your PS3.

Boot into the recovery menu (Steps below if you don't know how)

1. Hold the power button on the PS3 until you hear 3 sets of beeps

2. When the PS3 turns off automatically do the first step again

3. Wait for the words that say "Insert USB Cable For Controller and hit PS Button" or something like that, (Not home, so can't check)

Once you're in recovery mode you will see a menus with options, one of the options is system software update

1. Make sure that you're CFW update PUP is in a flash drive with a folder named "UPDATE, and make sure the PUP file is named PS3UPDAT, not PS3UPDATE

2. Select that option and choose to update from storage device

3. Wait and hit accept license agreement, etc.

While the Kmeaw is my reccomendation, I will post the Pros and Cons of other CFWs below

Waninkoko
Pros: Don't need to worry about a backup manager that adds proper syscalls

Cons: Install Package Files doesn't always work
Many people had their consoles bricked, mainly fat consoles

Lv1 and Lv2 Peek and Poke
Pros: Same features as Kmeaw
Can install Geohot's CFW over this one

Cons: Unknown

Kmeaw
Pros: Most widely used
Few to no bricking issues
Fewer freezing issues or black screens

Cons: None yet
