Maybe the backup is corrupted, or downloaded wrong. Did you put it in the folder that your BM makes for you? Ex: dev_hdd>GAMES

yes it is in that folder

Does the game you put in there have the following three folders?

PS3_GAME
PS3_UPDATE
disk.sfo(or something along the lines of that)

If they are and it still dosen't work, then your backup is corrupted or didn't download properly.
