It is still unclear which CFW he is referring to although we can expect it is from Waninkoko. Just earlier ago, Waninkoko released the V2 of his 3.55 CFW which is expected to increase the stability and compatibility with backup games as it using the mixes of Hermes with some PL3 stuff payloads. How Many ps3 have i Bought because of ylod or a damaged Blue Ray Player. Cfw is the only reason Why i stay on ps3 Sony really sucks this generation

I'd rather bypass each time and keep playing on 3.55 CFW.

But I have to admit, if we could spoof the Firmware Version like we did with the PSP then things would be alot easier, even a MAC spoof would make things interesting Winky Winky

Who knows what the problem is but it's enough to slow down the dev's. Just wait until that glorious 3.60 hits and watch what other curve balls sony is going to throw at them. The way it's looking with even this rootkit being installed into the code of 3.56 I would not be surprised to see them attempt to completely lock out homebrew or any of the such with 3.60. It's a tug of war game between the hackers and sony. Gonna be nice to see who comes out on top Smile

Yes , it may be real but sony has put a so called "root key" or something like that so the second you log in EVERYTHING gets sent to sony

They should try to make a CFW 3.56 that let's us downgrade to 3.55

i still don't get why anyone would want to update to 3.56 there isnt anything "updated" about the update. Maybe when sony makes a update for voice messages/in-game voice chat to friends then i will update.
