Influential member of TeknoConsolas forum as well being close to Waninkoko, Xtreme, has said that the custom firmware for 3.56 is working at the moment but cannot be released yet for some reasons he cannot explain.

It is still unclear which CFW he is referring to although we can expect it is from Waninkoko. Just earlier ago, Waninkoko released the V2 of his 3.55 CFW which is expected to increase the stability and compatibility with backup games as it using the mixes of Hermes with some PL3 stuff payloads.
