What you need:

1. Set the proxy program up as how it says in the readme file in the link above. Make sure to set your ps3 up with it aswell.

2. Load your backup from your backup manager, start it and the update message should appear.

3. Continue with the update and it should freeze on "please wait".

4. Check back at your PSN Demo Manager on your pc and you should see a file downloading, this is the latest update for your game.

5. Wait for it to download, once it has, go to it's location and copy it onto the root of a usb drive and then plug it into your ps3.

6. Go to install packages and install the file you just downloaded.

7. When it's installed, load up your backup and you will playing it on the latest update!

My PS3 can't sign onto PSN with my IP Address as my proxy.

It's always giving me an error. And yes I just tried, my PS3 connects fine to the internet when it's not using the Proxy.
