is this root kit really to sneak around and change the keys wenever they like

or is it to change the root key of our ps3's

i no geohot and failoverflow found the private keys but is this tool really what is says on the tin

I thought that if they changed the root key that none of the ps3 games would work because they have this root key too. Therefore it they changed it, none of the current games would work. Somebody please correct me if i'm wrong.

The Root-Key is hard-coded into the PS3, it's impossible to change without some insane work-arounds.

Besides, if it were to change (god knows how), then older PS3 games would not work, simple as that.
