This past tuesday on February the 1st my ps3 suddenly froze and shut off when i tried to turn it on it gave me the yellow light of death.

So the question is how should i repair it call sony and pay 130$ to repair or replace or find a guide and do it my self either way its gonna cost me some money. If anyone has suggestions please tell me it would be greatly appreciated also when it froze it was on the day that supposedly Sony was going to ban ps3s so yea just a thought...

Well there are a few Guides on Youtube how to fix your YLOD PS3, but I think if you will give the PS3 to Sony and they repair it you will be fine as well, as they are experienced with this and they know what they do, and they won't f*ck anything up :p

Anyways here is a Tutorial which shows you how to fix YLOSad Awesome You must login or register to view this content.

Or try this one :p You must login or register to view this content.

I have used these guy for couple of years . The turn around of your system is really fast "like 7 days for me" . Oh yeah they do not format or touch your HDD and are credited by the BBB too .

Hi go to
ppc-fix.webs.com
fix it same day and post it back the same day. very cheap.
they also do not lose any data and are 4 times cheaper than sony.
Sony delete all info and do not send yo your console they send an unreliable refurbishment that will break within 6 months.

The BEST way?
Sending it in for repair, eg. Sony...

Try looking around YouTube as theres tons of videos on how to repair broken consoles.
If your system has the YLOD (Yellow Light Of Death), I heard its not that difficult to fix yourself...

P.S If you system was hacked at all, like on a CFW, don't even try sending it in to Sony... Might be the last time you see that console xD

Good Luck!
