(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was taking a look to the PS3 until I realized the Remote Controller PSP, I never had a PSP and don't know how it works to control the PS3 but is there a way to add the hack on the PSP use it as a storage of the FPS and Backup and keep your PS3 clean of this so you don't have any problems?

Is just an idea.

also you can play ps3 games in psp, you only have to edit the param.sfo of the ps3 game u want to play in psp to enable remote play.

tested by me just for fun, super street fighter 4, killzone, CoD BO, GT5 and dead space 2

but its difficult to play this way bcause the controls config in psp
killzone 2 and CoD are nearly impossible to play righ.

are you telling me you played retail disk ps3 games on your psp? :wtf:

yes man,

yo can play ps3 games in psp.... you need CFW in PS3 of course

then go to your game u want to play in psp

open your ftp program in ps3 and search the game

BLUSXXXXX---->PS3_GAME

look for PARAM.SFO

made a backup just in case you mess up..

search for sfoeditor i think in this forum there are one :mudkip:

open you param and everything is simple just mark the option enable remote play.

You must login or register to view this content.

save the new param.sfo

open you ftp program in your ps3 and PC

search again for the game were you take the param and upload the new one.

and you´re done. enable remote play in the psp and try to load the game.

only once you have to conect your psp to your ps3 with USB.

just to make the ps3/psp compatibles. only once :bro:

then you have 2 options to play via remote...

1.- local conection betwen psp/ps3
that means that you have to stay close to the PS3 much closer the better (kinda pointless just like you said) but if you dont have a TV /facepalm i think this is great :420:

2.- net conection (means PSN)
that means that your PSP and PS3 MUST be conected to the PSN

and you can play via remote from any place in the world :420: cause if you put your account in PS3 in automatic mode in a remote play. then turn off (left in standby mode, red led)

and go and select in ur psp remote play from net conection the ps3 turns on and you´re good to go.

but again the problem with this is the controller settings because the right analog stick or the L2/L3 and R2/R3 are missing

but for some games you only need 6 buttons like super street fighter Smile

I was going to link that, but that homebrew app turns the ps3 into a controller like you want. I've used it before.

pandorized psp to unjailbreak ps3 works, even works with jb ps 3 and no pandorized psp.or both pandorized etc.
not every game works with remote play. game where you need both analogsticks for navigate/accelerate does not work with psp or works not 100percent timed. i run 300mbit wlan, n draft, even when wlan speed is high (ndraft 5ghz dualband).
im fan of remote play. like playing games while sit on 00 and play per remote ps3 games. its quiet fun. i hope sony release psp with better performed wlan with higher speed, it could be very nice!
vote for research and development for this play-station option

A video game fanatic who owns a PlayStation Portable and a PlayStation 3 may already be in gamer's heaven, but another feature makes owning both systems even sweeter. Sony's portable console can now be used as a PS3 controller. Standard PS3 controllers have more buttons than those found on the PSP, but you can still use the portable device to control the browser and system software.
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Updated PSP firmware (for older Sony portables.)

  1. 1
Turn on the PS3 and PSP and press the Wi-Fi button on the PSP. The PSP and PS3 must be able to communicate with each other. You will not need to worry about doing anything else with the PS3 during this process.
  2. 2
Enter the PSP's Network Settings. In order to set up a network that will allow the PSP and the PS3 to communicate, you must set up the PSP for Wi-Fi capabilities. By entering the network menu, you can enter your network ID and encryption settings. Both the network name and the settings are case-sensitive.
  3. 3
Exit Network Settings and test the network connection. You will be prompted to press the X button to save your settings. After the settings have been saved, the PSP will test the connection to see whether the network with the PS3 has successfully been set up. If there are no problems with the setup, you can go to the network option on the portable device.
  4. 4
Connect to the PlayStation 3. Select "Network" from the PSP screen and then select "Connect." A blue screen will come up to try the connection. When the connection is successful, you will be able to access many features on the PS3, such as photos, music or You must login or register to view this content. browsing. One option even allows you to play some You must login or register to view this content. remotely.
  5. 5
Set up remote play on the console. Go into the remote play settings on the PS3, keep them the same as the ones already set up by the PSP and save them. The system will then reconnect to the portable device. You can now access your PS3 from your PSP from anywhere in the world that contains a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Tips & Warnings

  • The PSP can access the PS3's browser and front-end programs. It is not ideal for use as a PS3 controller.

The PlayStation Portable features its own built-in controls to play its supported games. Since both the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 have Wi-Fi connectivity, you can also connect the PSP to a PS3 so you can use it as a controller to navigate through the PS3 interface, play certain PS3 games, and watch some videos.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP)
  • Sony PlayStation 3

  1. 1
Prepare your PSP connection by going to the "Settings" in your PSP menu and then going to "Network Settings." Proceed to the "Infrastructure Mode," followed by "New Connection," and then "Enter Manual."
  2. 2
Head to the SSID portion and set a name for your connection you can easily remember.
  3. 3
Give your connection a password by going to the "WLAN Security Setting" and editing the "SPA-PSK (AES)" option. Because this is a WPA key, set an eight-letter password you can easily remember to prevent unauthorized access.
  4. 4
Take control of your PlayStation 3 unit and head to the "Network" option on the PS3 menu. Select "Remote Play" and wait for the interface to detect your PSP.
  5. 5
Go back to your PSP unit and go to the "Network" item and choose "Remote Play." Test the PSP controls to see if you can control the PS3 interface.

By the way, I posted this as I first said in my main post that I don't know ANYTHING about PSP and how it works with the PS3, never had one really, so that is why I gave this sort of idea/question, maybe I could've helped someone.
And yes, I believe Sony is stupid as they couldn't make their system a 100% secure, nobody will achieve that EVER, there is ALWAYS a possibility to get into something some way or the other. They also couldn't foresee that it was obvious that via USB or Blu-Ray someone could hack onto the PS3 sooner or later.

You didn't say anything about what I posted, but in the WAY I posted, and I couldn't understand HOW YOU couldn't understand it meanwhile 7 different people could do it. Nevermind now, I just wanted you to get the point and I am happy you could give your opinion about it.

Thanks for your post, and yes I believe they should improve now in the PSP2. Thanks for your support on the thread.
