Ok so i seen bunch of threads others having trouble downloading ps3 games and when they drag the file and drop it to there hard drive they get an error message like saying it doesnt fit or whatever even though you have like 16gb-1tbs of space. I tried undead Night mare and tekken 6 and i got this problem but what you do is you get the folder witch says BLES or BLUS and use a program called split4G and just find the direct file and put it on your removable device and your done it will copy and split the files i know its not the best tutorial but ill try to make it detail when the pictues come in Smile so after... You plug the hard drive in the ps3 and use the latest mulitman and just move it to the GAME or GAMEZ file or use another file manager

OK, I semi understood what you just said. What he means is, games such as RDR Undead Nightmare, have files bigger than 4 GB. You use this tool, to split up the file. Then it will be able to be put on a FAT32 HDD, then you use multiMAN to rejoin the files on your internal HDD.

FTP is slow, this method is quicker; and backup managers do not support NTFS yet.

And please explain how you would use an NTFS HDD with FTP?

Uhm only reason an error like that would occur is the file system. So actually hes right. Whoever compiled the torrent/backup was on NTFS fs.... pretty simple...

Download,unzip,transfert. Simple....

FTP in this case is involving the intranet.

My transfert using ethernet cables goes to 17-20mb/sec. Faster because FTP trough ethernet cable > USB 2.0 transfer's rate.

*Note that you can do this FTP transfert without INTERnet connection. This is happening in the INTRAnet.

If you have more questions im here.

Oh nice how do you just hook up from PC to PS3 through ethernet? Or am I confused? :FU: haalp

Uhm usb 2.0 is 480 Mbp/s , filezilla transfers faster than that for you?

Lol smart ass? just saying USB supports up to 480 Mbp/s and ftp is up to 500 Mbp/s... Flash memory is Proven to be faster

Just a friendly discussion, to clear it up too i agree with you if your using FTP as a transfer solution if you are the host yes, but if you wanted a faster solution Firewire implementation WOULD be the fastest. Wonder if anyone has figured out how to implement firewire into PS3 data transfer?
