Instructions:

1. Start PS3 FTP server

2. Start Computer FTP Client (WinSCP, Filezilla, etc.)

3. Navigate to dev_hdd0/theme on your PS3

4. Copy all dynamic theme files into that directory

5. Quit FTP client on computer and exit FTP server on PS3

DONE!

Now just go to SETTINGS/THEME SETTINGS on your XMB and
apply whatever dynamic theme you want and enjoy!

UPDATE: Coming up as corrupt on other peoples PS3s (Sorry :cry Heavy Rain does work though, I'm told. I just found my link to the AFRIKA Zebra Dynamic Theme that may work for those of you with a jb PS3. Just put the .pkg file on a USB flash drive (not in any folder) and install it like you do with any other .pkg file and it should be already installed in your theme list on the XMB. I got the link when it was free from the JAP PSN so it should work for everyone.

damn that sucks /facepalm i tried them on 2 different ps3s and they worked on both. i apologize :embarrassed: not sure how someone was able to get the Heavy Rain theme as a .pkg and working for everyone. well at least i tried to give people free paid dynamic themes (at least they didn't brick anyones system) i will look into getting them to work for others that didn't purchase them.

Hmmm that's interesting You haven't downloaded the Motorstorm or Wipeout dynamic themes from the PSN in the past have you? If not then I'm really confused why those would work for you, but for other people they didn't. Now that we can edit/make our own dynamic themes we may be able to unpack and edit these PSN store themes and rebuild them without the drm.

I think 2 files are needed per theme. There is a .rif file that goes with each .p3t.edat file. I believe the .rif file is the license for the .p3t.edat file. Below is where both are found:

dev_hdd0/theme = .p3t.edat

dev_hdd0/home/(user#)/exdata = .rif

I found a Uncharted dynamic theme that included both but it still came up corrupt when I put them in the proper folders so I'm out of ideas for now :confused:

Is there anyway you can get the Full Metal Alchemist Dynamic theme? I've been looking for it forever.
