(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Ok, here are some facts about downgrading from OFW 3.56.
Currently, There were countless method tried of doing it:
- Method with Restoring your System, and quickly going to Service Mode doesn't work. You must login or register to view this content.
- Method of swaping flashdrives with different firmware doesn't work. It gets stuck usually at some point. You must login or register to view this content.
- Method of bricking is also a fail (Envy_astro was making autobricker for OFW 3.56, but I don't know how it ended), because you can stuck in Service Mode forever. You must login or register to view this content.
-Idea of using internal hard drive is also unsuccesfull, it works only for OFW lower than 3.56 You must login or register to view this content.
- Method with PS3Jig, which puts your PS3 into Factory/Service mode by using your PSP doesn't work either. It works only for OFW 3.55 and lower. You must login or register to view this content.
User Musical-Phenix just send me a link to his video where he tested some of those methods.
As you can expect, they didn't worked for him either.
At this moment there is no CFW 3.56 yet.
You should also forget about any 3.56 CFW that you have found online. Especially, when they want you to take a "quick survey" to download your file. You can stay away from fakes like: You must login or register to view this content. You must login or register to view this content. You must login or register to view this content. You must login or register to view this content.
and many more.
At this moment, there is NO 100% way to downgrade from OFW 3.56 to any older firmware..
You can pick more "pro" way trying to downgrade, read more here:

About 3.56 if the updater/lv2diag application keyset revision is lower than 0x0D, lv2 will refuse to run it.
Mathieulh: the fail is the following anyway, decrypt your hdd cache partition /dev_hdd1 using the hdd decryption trick right after the 3.56+ updater starts (but before it updates) (just use the back switch), then replace the coreos package, with one you resigned which has 3.55 coreos but 3.56+ in info0 (or the value 0xA0 at offset 0x2C) then reencrypt the hdd partition and put the hdd back, because the
Mathieulh: update status flag will be set, the updater will start and flash the resigned 3.55 coreos package (the fail works because they haven't changed the packages signatures, not like they can)
Mathieulh: then you can use service mode again and flash whatever crap
Mathieulh: doesn't work on slims cause the hdd decryption trick is fixed there
Mathieulh: they btw can't fix it in the fat ones because it's hardware related

owke he tried allot of things but not The Bricking method
also maby a few of you guys know this but allot of you dont !
ever heard of Infectus Modchip ? No ? well you cant Downgrade ANY FW with it
just look at the Infectus site and youtube they have proof and explained how it works and what it does,
theres just one problem ... its pretty expensive if you just want to do homebrew and backups and its pretty Pro stuff to solder it on your Ps3 ( and risky =D )
So when a new OFW comes out should i NOT upgrade to it? Sorry just need this clearing up so i understand 100% haha thanks for the infomation
Well, it's hard to say. I don't think that any respected programmer is working on a CFW 3.56 right now, so maybe CFW to 3.60 will be sooner. But the method to wait and don't upgrade was always the best in a longterm.

I just thought of this while I was wacthing the video. He had two flashdrives right. He put the one with 3.56, and while it was checking he switched them. He did it very slow tho. What I was thinking is if he put both in at the same time, then wile it was checking take out the 3.56 flashdrive. Don't flame me its just an idea.
