Now that this is here, I want to talk serious since I can't possibly go through every thread on the PS3 Exploits and Hacks to find out why just to get -rep like a leecher.

I have 3.56 Custom Firmware that has worked up until the DNS / Proxy Server bypass has stopped working. I was using it because the CFW was detected but still prompted me to update on System Update as well as signing into all of my PSNs.

Now before you say "fake", "no proof", etc... Read above please. This is the only reason it isn't released.

So to summarize this, I ask you... What exactly did Sony do to disable this? Has anyone found out what causes this? Is it linked to Sony? Any info on what has stopped this will be appreciated

Now offtopic:
Do not flame me on this since I have no proof (no camera / PVR, releases, or premium)... But if I can find a fix for either the update permanently or temporarily, I can release it / I can release info upon it. I'm not standing out just yet, but this is just info on it ~ There is a lot that has changed from 3.55 to 3.56, but if you got time on your hands (12+ hours | 65 people each) it can be done. For now, I just need to know this before I can progress making the firmware for online purposes.

I'm 100% sure its OFW 3.56 I edited since I updated my second PS3 HDD (Part of my clan... Not mine). If I can find out what stopped the bypass, maybe there is a way to make it a detected 3.56 OFW instead of CFW. Not sure. All I can say is I hate how I can't go online on it since I try to sign in and it says I have to update, but it won't update to 3.56 OFW -- just like the system update option.

This is all possible through the HDD. The rootkit wasn't a problem since it still picks it up as not being on 3.56, rendering this firm useless as 3.55. But not completely since you can still access a lot that you couldn't do.

Accessible:
"PS Channels"
"PS Store" - No account, so you can't buy. It's like browser temp files.
Installed PKGs
Debug
Netflix, Hulu+, etc
Video Editor (though, who really uses this?)
The system settings has an option to visit my store if you have internet.
