if you want a modded patch on you 3.56 what you need to do is
get the patch of your choice on your 3.55 ps3 jb (im assuming that you have 2 ps3 on cfw and one 3.56)
then make sure it works
then connect a Ethernet between both ps3s
then go to system settings
data transfer
then set it up (should tell you on it)
NOTE:
you will lose everything on your non 3.56

no problem
oh and another good tip
if you have your main patch on you non cfw (jb) ps3 you can get a external hard drive or a flash drive
back up your ps3

Now you can data transfer lets say zombie land
and instead of doing another data transfer you could just restore to your backup
ALOT faster than a data transfer

Actually everything on the 3.56 would be deleted and replaced with whatever he transferred from the 3.55.

"Data Transfer Utility

You can now transfer (copy or move) data that is saved on one PS3™ system's hard disk to another PS3™ system's hard disk using an Ethernet cable.

Notices

* When you perform this operation, all data that is stored on the PS3™ system that will receive the data (the "destination system”) will be deleted.
* Deleted data cannot be restored, so be careful not to accidentally delete important data. Data loss or corruption is the responsibility of the user."

Data transfer does take long (depending on what you have on there)
