Yeh But if you do get banned, it's no big deal. You see my signature? Before i used to think that games were the most important thing in my life. I once skipped school to play videogames. But since i got banned i just realized that . My point is, there will always be a game of our interest out there that could replace Black Ops.

here's the safest rule of thumb when either upgrading or downgrading firmware to avoid any bricking & factory reset mode loop hell.....always go back to OFW 1st no matter what...

....NEVER.....EVER.....go from one CFW to another CFW directly.....

so in your case from 3.55 CFW to 3.56 OFW. So your solution IS:

3.55 CFW >>>>>>> 3.55 OFW >>>>>>>> 3.56 OFW

Now it's ur own PS3, you do whatever you'd like, BUT once u go to 3.56 OFW u are exactly where SONY wants you to be......So once we give into 3.56 OFW, we've practically become SONY'S BIATCH in my honest opinion. We have to turn the table around and have SONY become our little lap dog again as before...........therefore.........
