have u done everything like edit your router settings and stuff and more than likely u will need to redirect all the ps3 update links to that dns and block them or redirect thm to a 3.56 updatelist.txt

it wont work until u do all that this isnt a ps3 bypass dns its a personal dns and u can redirect stuff

its just a personal 1 the dns wot u probly had in previously was for every 1

/facepalm Why do people want to post things where they don't know anything about it???

1. If you want to trick the update you need a PREVIOUS (= on your version) ps3-update.txt file NOT the current. The current can be found at sony LOL

2. The DNS trick CANNOT work at this time since there is an extra check and is either via the http headers when connecting to the logon server or via an until now unknown tcp port

surley it is only patched bcoz the person who set it up has stopped using it and stopped the dns thing or and for getting online from 3.55 u will need to trick it with a current not an older 1

ooooh crap.... please stop the bs-ing /facepalm

Start to setup you'r own dns and start sniffing.

But most of all, start to think logical!

If you have a 3.55 system, than surely you don't want it to point to a file that says what the current version is! No you need a file that tells it is on a good version. (Being it's own 3.55)

And what is the point in placing a 3.56 txt file on an other location when you can get it directly from fony.

Oh you don't lose if you update your firmware. But if you update your Modern Warfare 2 patch, then we will lose it.
